[ETS/PARC List] April Meeting Minutes / No May Meeting! / June Meeting

To all who missed the April meeting on Friday - you missed a good one -
Gary, K2ITT gave a great presentation about the upcoming Comet ISON. Thanks
again to Gary!

It was decided that the "May" meeting will be held at the annual picnic on
June 2nd. SO THERE WILL BE NO MEETING ON MAY 31st as it is just 3 days
before the picnic. Please plan on joining us on the 2nd - and be on the
lookout for an email "flyer" regarding the picnic. It's just over a month
away. If you are planning on attending - please contact Vic, K2NBC at your
earliest convenience.

There was significant discussion about the future structure of the club and
it was decided to hold the discussion over until the June meeting (6/28)
because of the impact it might have on the club. I would ask that as many
members as possible do their best to join us on the 29th - your input is
very important to the ongoing viability of the club.

The minutes of the meeting follow below for your review. I hope to see you
on June 2nd and 29th!

minutes for 04-26-13

The meeting was called to Order at the Clark Municipal Building by Pres Joe
W2OZO 
at 8:06 PM. We started with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
The normal order of business was bypassed so we could enjoy Gary K2ITT's
presentation of "Cosmic Snowballs" detailing the structure and activities of
comets.
After Gray's presentation was completed, Joe W2OZO led us in a discussion
about the nomination of officers and the structure of the club in the
future.
Tim AB2ZK made a motion to hold our May meeting at the ETS annual picnic
which is scheduled for June 2. Seconded by John N2LGS, voted upon and
passed.
Dan KC2YRC reported on the picnic status and fee structure.  Walter W2WIQ
moved to keep the fee at $15.00 and was seconded by Jerry KD2C and passed.
Dennis W2IU moved to suspend the discussion, seconded by Jeff N2VHV -
passed.
 Minutes of the last meeting were not read as Secretary Gene KC2WDZ was
unable to attend.
Former Secretary Jeff N2VHV took the minutes for this meeting. The minutes
will be presented next month.
Treasurer's Report - Victor, K2NBC stated that the current balance was
$X,XXX.12
Correspondence - None
Technical Report - Rich KB2LLM reported that the new UPS batteries are
working out fine.
We need a radio for the 146.94 primary repeater's networking problems. Rich
also reported that our 220 repeater is now linked to the Wan with coverage
into Pennsylvania.
Health and Welfare -No report - all is well.
50/50 - $17.00 won by Dan KC2YRC was donated back to the club.
Meeting closed at 10:20 PM. After being so moved by Mike N2JUN, seconded by
John N2LGS.
There are 19 names on the sign-in sheet. 18 are club members.
