ETS of NJ Meeting minutes for 09-28-12

 -The meeting was called to Order at the Clark Municipal Building by Pres.
Joe W20ZO at 8:07 PM.

-We started with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

-Minutes of the last meeting were not read. A motion to accept Augusts
minutes as emailed made by W2WIQ, Seconded by N2VHV. All were in favor.

*Treasurer’s Report* - Victor, K2NBC stated that the current balance is
approx. $XXXX.00. Last years balance at this time was approx. $XXXX.00
There was an anonymous donation of approx. $100 to cover costs associated
with setting up the ETSNJ apparel order.
Motion to accept treasurers report made by Jeff  N2VHV,  seconded by Walter
W2WIQ.

*Correspondence* – K2NBC to send thank you note to anonymous donor.
K2NBC received membership application and check from KD2ARB.

*Technical Report* – KB2LLM reported that the 220 machine is running and on
the Asterisk Network. There was help setting up the new Verizon Fios
Internet Router by KB2EAR. The W2QW 440 machine is not currently linked and
will only be linked for nets for the time being.
The ETS 2M machine is up and running. Work on the 2m machine is ongoing to
connect it to the Asterisk network. Plans are being to made to setup an RF
link between the K2ETS and W2UHF 440 repeaters.

*Old Business*: W2OU handed out the new ETSNJ hats and shirts. W2OZO
thanked W2OU for all the hard work and effort in getting the logos and ETS
apparel order completed.

*New Business*: After W2WIQ reviewed the membership application of KD2ARB
there was a vote and all were in favor of. Motion to accept by W2OU and
seconded by W2OIL

W2OZO announced he will be resigning as ETS President effective February
2013. A nominating committee was formed consisting of K2NBC, K2CPA & W2WK.
There was a discussion on the possibility of moving the elections up by 1
month.

KC2WDZ stated due to travel constraints he could not effectively perform
the duties of ETS Secretary. The position is open for any member willing to
perform the duties. He'll stay on as Secretary till another member steps
forward for the position.

*Health and Welfare* – It was reported that K2DSV was currently sick and in
the hospital. (He has since left the hospital and is doing fine.)

*Special Presentation*- Peter Dougherty W2IRT, ARRL Card Checker and V.P.
of the NJDXA was on hand to check QSL cards for awards and gave a very
informative power point presentation on the NJDXA and ARRL card checking
for awards process.

*50/50* – Was won by KB2LLM who donated his share back to the club.

A  motion to adjourn was made by W2WIQ and  seconded by KD2KC. The meeting
closed at 9:45 PM.

There are 20 names on the sign-in sheet. 19 are club members.
