Subject: "Field Day" Invitation

The Cherryville Repeater Association invites you to participate in their
ARRL sponsored Field Day exercise, June 23 & 24.

Field Day is the annual communication exercise sponsored by the ARRL on the
last (full) weekend of June. The purpose of the exercise is to demonstrate
that ham can operate for 24 hours in field conditions and pass radio traffic
under emergency conditions.

Cherryville (a.k.a. W2CRA)will be operating from a field next to the
Hunterdon County Complex on Route 12, West of Flemington. Setup will be from
0800 to 1200 hrs on Saturday the 23rd with a lunch break. Operations begin
at 1400 hrs and last until 1400hrs on Sunday. Food, soft drinks, and rest
area will be available on site. W2CRA sets up generators to demonstrate that
they can work "off the grid", and operates three to four transceivers at any
given time. There will be units operating in voice, morse, and digital
modes. There is a chance that there will also be stations working satellite
communications and QRPp modes.
