Meeting Minutes for 12/09/2011


Club members assembled at the meeting location at 7pm for a Holiday Pizza
Party given by ETS of NJ.


The meeting was called to order at the Clark Municipal Building by W2OZO at
8:15pm.


Treasurers Report- KC2NBC reported that the current balance was $XXXX.79
Compared to this time last year, the balance was $XXXX.59 and is
approximately >20% greater.

Motion to accept Treasurers report by W2IU and accepted by W2WIQ.


Correspondence- KC2NBC received 2 applications for membership to ETSNJ from
N2HRJ and KC2WWW. Applications were given to K2DSV for verification.


Technical Report- KB2LLM reported that the 2 meter machine was down due to
an issue with the Asterisk Server. The computer will be disconnected and
repeater reset as soon as a member can get to the repeater site.


Old Business- A picnic committee has been formed consisting of KC2YRB and
KC2YRC. Both members are requesting for other members to join and help.
KC2YRB requested that he cook and head up a BBQ of sorts for the next
picnic so ETS does not have to cater the event.


N2VHV has become a director of ETSNJ


There was a vote to change the ETSNJ Bylaws to exclude any monetary
reference for dues. All were in favor of.


New Business- There was an all in favor vote granting ETS membership to
N2HRJ and KC2WWW.


There was a discussion on changing ETS dues for students to 50% of regular
membership dues.


A committee was put together to review the ETS bylaws for updating.


W2OZO requested KC2WDZ put a copy of the ETSNJ Bylaws on a secure area of
the K2ETS website for members to review and make suggestions for updating.


KC2YRB and KC2YRC had K2ETS mugs made, added a candy cane and hot cocoa and
then distributed one to each member at the meeting. This was graciously
done at their own expense. A mug is available for each and every member of
ETS but members must come to a meeting to receive it.


KC2YRB won the 50/50 of $57 total and donated it all back to the club.


A motion to adjourn was made by W2WIQ and seconded by W2VFW.


There are 19 names on the sign in sheet, all are club members.
Next meeting will be January 27, 2012
