   ETS of NJ Meeting minutes for 12-07-12

Meeting was called to order at 8:15 PM by club president Joe, W20ZO, at the
Clark NJ municipal building. This was the combined November/December
meeting.

Meeting started at 7:30pm with a holiday party. Pizza, cake and
refreshments were served.

W20ZO was net control for an informal Net from approximately 7:30pm to 8pm
from the radio room of the meeting site so members who could not attend the
meeting/party could check in and say "Hi".

A motion was made to accept the October meeting minutes as previously
emailed. Accepted by W2WIQ, seconded by N2LGS.

Treasurer’s Report - Victor, K2NBC stated that the current balance is
$X,XXX.00 compared to last meeting which was $XXXX.00. Accepted by W2WIQ,
seconded by N2VHV.

Correspondence – no correspondence.

Technical Report – Rich KB2LLM reported work is ongoing connecting the 2
meter repeater to the Asterisk system. The 220 machine  is in need of some
squelch and audio adjusting, which hopefully will be done in a few days.
W2WIQ donated a 440 radio to the club to be used for linking via RF the
K2ETS 2 meter repeater to the W2UHF repeaters.

Old Business: Assistance and input from members on updating the bylaws and
constitution has been lackluster so WV2RJR (N2KHN) has volunteered to
handle it on his own.

New Business: Ron. R informed the club he has a new call sign, WV2RJR,
previously N2KHN.
There was a discussion on whether the ETS meeting start time should be
moved to 7:30pm (is currently 8pm). There seemed to be some interest in
changing the time. A voting poll on this matter will be placed on
k2ets.comin the near future.
A lengthy discussion took place on the future of ETSNJ and where it's
headed, the generally low meeting attendance, and lack of member interest.
Many reasons for this and ideas to increase member interest were brought up
for discussion.

50/50 – Was won by the son of KC2YRC.

Motion to end the meeting made by Mike N2JUN, seconded by Drew W2OU.
The meeting closed at 9:33 PM.

There are 24 names on the sign-in sheet. 22 are club members.
