Meeting Minutes for 05-27-11

The meeting was called to Order at the Clark Municipal Building by Victor-
KC2NBC at 8:10 PM because President Joe- W2OZO and Vice President  Tim-
AB2ZK were absent.
After being nominated, Victor- KC2NBC was voted on to run the meeting. Moved
to accept by Jeff- N2VHV and seconded by Gene- KC2WDZ.

Gene- KC2WDZ, did not read the minutes of the last meeting. Moved to accept
by Jeff- N2VHV and seconded by Rich- KB2LLM.

TREASURERS REPORT-
Victor, KC2NBC stated that the current balance was $****.93.  Moved to
Accept by Rich- W2PQ and seconded by Jeff- N2VHV.

CORRESPONDENCE-
None

TECHNICAL REPORT-
Rich- KB2LLM Gave out frequencies for the Bedminster NJ, Verona NJ and Pearl
River, NY repeaters along with their PL tones.

There was discussion on past deliberate interference issues with the ETS
repeater system and how to avoid/prevent it.
Don- K2DSV expressed concern about the 220 system being linked on the
Asterisk system and the possibility of more deliberate interference with
having limited control. Gene- KC2WDZ stated he will setup a DTMF code to
shut down the 220 System by control operators if needed.

OLD BUSINESS-
Hank- N2MU asked if any members were taking part in the upcoming ARRL field
day. Victor- KC2NBC reminded members that K2JV invited ETS members to the
New Providence Radio Club Field Day activities.

Victor-KC2NBC said he has been reaching out to members who had not paid
their membership dues yet. He also spoke to the members about not
forgetting the coffee donations can during meetings.

NEW BUSINESS-
There was a discussion on future special programs and guest speakers during
meetings. Members like the idea. Talk of getting guest speaker back again to
talk about astronomy.

HEALTH and WELFARE-
Don- K2DSV informed the members that mother of member Judith- WB2AST had
passed away.

None took place.

A motion to adjourn was made by Harvin- KC2CPA and seconded by Ron- N2KHN

There are 12 names on the sign-in sheet. All are club members.
