Gene,

I can't tell you how sad I feel for you and your family. And can't even
begin to imagine how you feel right now. If I can say anything it would have
to be that you are a good son - I'm sure your travelling back and forth to
PA is greatly appreciated by your Mom. Your dedication to your family has
not gone unnoticed by anyone who has been on the repeater in the past few
months.

Joe, Greg, Rich and Jeff,
   I thank you guys for always asking how my mom is doing and always 
wishing her well.
   Last Thursday mom was transferred to a rehab center. Unfortunetly 
very early this morning she went into cardiac arrest. She also had to 
be resuscitated in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
   I'm writing this email to avoid any potential uncomfortableness. I 
would much rather not shock you guys with bad news over the air.
   Everything that could be done to help mom has been tried. She is 
currently on a respirator so she can breath. She's also on an IV 
medication to raise her blood pressure high enough to move blood. 
Abiding by her wishes, this evening the respirator and IV drip will be 
removed. It will then be left up to herself and her body.
   I apologize for feeling the need to send an email like this, I just 
feel its better than receiving this info over the radio.
