FYI,
A Temporary Remote Asterisk node has been set-up and tuned to the K2ETS 2m
repeater. This Asterisk node will allow some limited functions and help
some of us get accustomed to Asterisks operation.
The remote ETS Asterisk Node # is 27329.
For those of you who were not able to check into this past Wednesday
nights net, the K2ETS 2m rptr, W2QW 440 rptr and the N2ZAV 220 rptr were
successfully linked for the net. There were check in's from all 3 repeaters.
Currently, Repeater/Station linking will be limited to Nets and for
testing purposes. The node may also be offline at times while testing and/or
configuring.
There are other ways you can utilize the Asterisk System.
Here is some information to help you get started.
-First you should go to www.ALLSTARLINK.org and register your call sign as
a standard user. Once you are registered and verified, print out or copy
your All Star Link password and the 10 digit All Star User Security Pin you
receive.
Accessing Node 27329 ETS 2m rptr via the internet
-Log in to ALLSTARLINK.ORG using your call sign and password.
-Upper left hand corner click Web Transceiver and then click Launch Web
Transceiver.
-Scroll to and click on Node# 27329.
This will start the Web Transceiver and connect you to node 27329.
Assuming you have functioning speakers and microphone connected to your computer,
you will be able to transmit and receive on the K2ETS 2m repeater from your
computer.

received when registering your call sign on ALLSTARLINK.ORG
-When prompted next press 2 for function operated.
-You will now be linked and connected to node 27329 and the K2ETS
repeater.
Press *99 to key/transmit and press # to un-key
-Hang up when finished.
Echolink can also be utilized, the Echolink node (522411) is now linked
through the Asterisk node.
Thanks,
