[ETS/PARC List] July Meeting

Our July meeting is scheduled for NEXT Friday, July 30th at the Clark
Township Municipal Building at 430 Westfield Avenue, Clark, NJ.

 

During this meeting there will be an informal presentation (and perhaps a
demonstration) of a new PC / UNIX based repeater controller system that the
club Technical Committee is investigating as a way to upgrade both our 220
and 2 meter repeaters. Raritan Valley Radio Club and N2ZAV 220 Repeater
(224.940) are using these controllers currently and have given them high
marks. As an added bonus the cost of conversion and ongoing operation is
surprisingly reasonable. While not a technical person, I have been given a
brief overview of the system, and I believe that the system offers
significant benefit over our current system.

 

As the saying goes "the more the merrier"! Please make every opportunity to
attend this informative meeting, the club would certainly like to hear your
comments and input, and may make a decision / take action on this system at
the meeting.
