June 6th 1944 ? June 6th 2009
For the 65th anniversary of the landing in Normandy, individual or ARC
initiatives will remember us this event.
First information came at F5NQL?s (Thanks, Michel,F6IPS, ARRL,
Jean-Michel, F6AJA and Jean-Yves, F8LDX):
SAINTE MERE EGLISE :
As each year, Michel, F6IPS, will be active as TM6SME, from Edemonville,
a close village of Sainte Mère l?Eglise.
HF, and maybe 144MHz, CW & SSB ? Locator IN99HK ?
Dates : from June 5 to 14.
Most activity will happen from June 5 to 7, with two opérators - F5MSB
will join Michel. ?
Contacts with TM6SME on two bands or two modes is worth a special award
to be claimed to Michel F6IPS (CBA) , with a large SAE and postage
envelope. The cost of the award is as your choice in IRC, but not least
than 2.

JUNO BEACH (Courseulles sur Mer) :
Between June 5 to 8, look for F/PA65DDAY on 80, 40, 20m by Henk PAØHFT
and Hans PAØWYS. HF/SSB. QSL via HOMECALL PAØHFT, or Dutch VERON bureau.
Please nothing via the French bureau.
Castle of CREULLY (Calvados)
Between June 4th to 12th, 2009, look for TM5BBC to be active from the
square tower of the Castle of Creully.
After the landing , starting on June 7t h, 1944, the BBC services used
this building and from it, covered and broadcasted the information about
the Battle of Normandy.
By special permission of the French Conseil Superieur de l?Audiovisuel
(CSA, the French Authority), on June 4 & 5 , between 1200-1300 (
1000-1100 utc) and on June 6& 7, between 1330-1430 (1130- 1230 utc)
Broadcasting on the original frequency of 1602 kHz , in AM, using
rebuilt original gear.
No more information given, but QRZ.com, indicates QSL via F2UW.

SY2DDAY will be aired between June 4 to 7 by SV2LLB, SV2JAO, SVKB and
SV2MIN. QSL only direct (What a shame!) to SV2KBB.
