Good Afternoon ALL,
For anyone or their friends that may be interest.
I was asked by a friend to help get rid of a load of old equipment and parts that belong to an old ham that passed away.
We arranged a meeting with the son of the estate and went through the house to see what had to be removed.
O'BOY, or holy @$#%. I thought I was back at Radio Row in NYC.
This is what the son wants to do with the STUFF. He wants to sell what he can and use the money to repair the house so he can sell it.
The house needs a lot of work and the son is retired, Vietnam Purple heart Vet, and needs as much help as we can give him.
The ETS club at the last two meetings was informed of this situation.
Last Saturday a few of us went to the house and bought a few items at a very fair price. There is still a large amount of parts, tubes, meters etc that has to be removed. The ham equipment his father use to use the son removed and stored at his house. I picked up the ham gear and checked it all out on the bench at my home.
This the equipment and the condition of each. Please let me know if your interested in any of it.
Item # 1 ICOM VHF Portable Model IC-02AT S/N 15247. Service Manual. Battery Dead - No Antenna. Transmitter and Receiver OK, meet spects.
Item # 2 ICOM UHF Portable Model IC-04AT S/N 15247. No Manual. Battery Dead - No Antenna. Transmitter and Receiver OK, meet spects.
Item # 3 ICOM IC-R7000 Communications Receiver S/N 06680 with manual. Frequency range 25 mHz to 999.999 mHz.
Bench checked the receiver and found with in manual specs. Cosmetically very good.
Item # 4 Kenwood TS-940S S/N 9030027. With built in Automatic Antenna Tuner, MC-60 Desk Microphone, operating and service manuals. This unit was bought new by the owner and after having it a short while he sent it to the Kenwood Service Center in California for upgrade. I checked this unit out on the bench and on the air and believe me when I say this is one I'd like to own. It is not junk or the typical TS-940S that you hear complains about. A arrange from 1 to 10, 10 being new out of the box, this one is 9 plus. No scraches or wear marks.
Item # 5 Drake TV-3300-LP 1 KW Low Pass Filter.
Item # 6 ICOM 775 and accessories. SORRY TO SAY HIT BY LIGHTNING AND HOPE WE CAN GET A REASONABLE QUOTE FROM ICOM TO REPAIR IT.
I checked with the son and he said the lightning strike took down the tree the antenna was strung to.
The rest of the stuff left will be taken to the Hamfest in Paramus at the end of the month.
The club and individual members are not making any commissions on the sale of the parts or equipment. All money is going the son for repairs of the house.
If you interested in any of the equipment or parts please contact me at K2DSV at VERIZON.NET<mailto:K2DSV at VERIZON.NET> or K2DSV at MSN.COM<mailto:K2DSV at MSN.COM>
Thank you and have a great week.
