Meeting Friday    Jan 30, 2009

Time    8:00 PM.
Usual announcement on the  repeater.
This is a special meeting. We are going to have a  presentation
enitled “Listening to the Stars” presented by Gary Swaangin  K2ITT.
This is really searching for intelligent life out there in the  universe.
Gary works at “Liberty Science Center” in Jersey City, and he has  
given this presentation quite a few times. It is always very well  
received and people consider it fascinating.

A check for  Victor(KC2NBC)  would be a very good idea if you 
are not up-to-date  with your Annual dues.

Meeting minutes for 12-05-08
Called to  Order at the Clark Municipal Building by President Dave W2OIL at 
8:25 PM. 
Starting with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
Minutes of last  meeting were not read.  Tim AB2ZK moved to accept, seconded 
by Ron  N2KHN.
Treasurer’s report by Treasurer Victor KC2NBC -the balance at hand is  
$xx.xx. 
Accepted by Karen KC2REF, seconded by Martin WN2SJL.  
Correspodence:  no action needed.
Technical Report – Rich KB2LLM  told us about the main repeater problem. The 
output transistor 
had failed. We switched over to the backup unit which had poor sound  
quality. There were also some problems with the 220 unit as well.  All are  OK now.
Old Business:.  Dave W2OIL reported on the Holiday party for Dec  7. all set 
and ready to go with 
attendance estimated at about 43. Jeff N2VHV gave Martin WN2SJL a proper  
receipt for the donated equipment. Jeff also mentioned the upcoming program set  
for the January meeting “Listening to the Stars”.
New Business – Dave W2OIL  spoke about setting up the nominating committee.
Jeff N2VHV moved for our  giving a holiday gift basket for Cathy and was 
seconded by Tim AB2ZK. 
Rich KB2LLM will take care of it.
Health and Welfare – Don K2DSV told us  that Ron Loneker KA2BZS had lost his 
younger brother.
General  Discussion:  none
The 50/50  was not run. 
Motion to adjourn was  made by Tim AB2ZZK,  seconded by Ron N2KHN.
Meeting closed at 9:05  PM.
There are 10 names on the sign-in sheet with 10 members.
