Hello, All...if you've been monitoring the repeater lately, you may have 
heard Drew and Joe (W2OZO) and I chatting about a so-called 
optimal-lenght long wire antenna, described in a website by W0IPL:

LDG offers the LDG RBA-4:1 Voltage Balun which would be very useful with 
this setup:

Their site has a nice PDF showing a typical configuration with the balun 
and long wire.
