Drew,

Please transmit this email to all ETS members...

I spoke to Victor KC2NBC this past weekend and he informed me that Don
K2DSV has the Club’s Kenwood TS-2000 at his home shack. Please remind
Don to bring the rig to this Friday’s meeting so I can install the
updated firmware into the rig. It shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes to
complete.

I just need the rig. I will bring a power supply, mic, dummy load,
laptop w/software, serial cable, and necessary tools to complete the
upgrade, and if anyone is interested in seeing the rig operate via
Kenwood’s ARCP-2000 software control they can check that out too.

It’s too bad that ETS does not have a place open to members to setup the
rig for base utilization. So in lieu of that, I suggest that ETS members
consider (for discussion at the meeting) the possibility of packaging
the rig with a power supply, portable antennas, psk, etc., for quick
portable deployment of ETS Club events, such as the picnic, field day,
and possible emergencies.

What Say OMs and YLs

73 for now Hank N2MU ...-.- ..
