Thanks, Jeff. Glad to hear it has worked so well for you.

Sixty meters can be quite a bit of fun, and between now and about March or
so are the best times--low noise and good propagation.

Have fun!

Subject: A THANK YOU NOTE

Hi Steve, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your 60 meter article in QST.
I decided to try it out, and VOILA - VICTORY.
I also discovered something that is really weird that I thought you might
enjoy.
I have two HF antennas, a W9INN 80-10 meter dipole set up as sort of a semi
inverted Vee.
I also have a Gap Eagle - 40-10 meter verticle, and run both via an MFJ 949E.
Now the weird part - they both tune (using the setting 4 F 4.5) the entire
range of the band with a SWR reading on 1.4.
This really took me by surprise, and what else surprised me is the good
signal reports I am getting with BOTH ( I really assumed that the Gap would be
much like a dummy load).
Anyway, I hope that you get some pleasure reading that I am such a happy
camper.
I wish you well
With repect:
73 Jeff (N2VHV)
