[ETS/PARC List] W2KOG (Uncle Al) condition

I usually chat with Uncle Al every morning on  the dynamic 94 with others as 
we all start the day.
This morning he wasn't  there and wasn't answering his cell phone.
No answer at his daughter's  (Nancy) QTH either.
To make a long story short, I did finally get through and  spoke to Jim, Al's 
son-in-law who very kindly brought me up to date.
He is  now in the hospital - Morristown - in the Intensive care unit while 
they adjust  his meds.
He is basically OK, but being in the ICU, he is not allowed to have  a phone 
(they use all sorts of jazzy monitoring equipment).
I asked what  happened and was told that last night - around three AM he 
started coughing  heavily, and was having problems breathing. The family did 
exactly the RIGHT  thing and called the ambulance. He was thus admitted via the ER.
The  congestion which caused the coughing is some sort of infection and he is 
now on  
anti-biotics and they are also paying very close attention to his fluid  
retention as they adjust his medications (fluid retention level is very  important 
dealing with Congestive Heart Failure).
He is not in pain, knows  what is going on, is aware that the Yankees won 
last night and is described as  being quite alert.
Will keep you all posted as I learn more.
