Meeting this Friday – Sept 29, 2006
Place – The usual place - Votech
Time 8:00 PM
Usual announcement on the repeater.

CAUTION: There has been a change in traffic pattern.
The driveway that we were using to enter the Votech
Campus has been CLOSED.
We have to use the NEW entry driveway which is about
100 yards EAST of the old one (that is towards the Hospice)
The Minutes:
Meeting at the Scotch Plains Police Dept. was called to order by Vice Pres
Tom W2BRD at 8:00PM (Pres Dave W2OIL was away on vacation). We started with
the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by roll call.
The minutes of the last meeting were presented by Jeff N2VHV. Bill W2WK
moved for acceptance seconded by John N2LGS..
Treasurer’s report as prepared by Treasurer Al W2KOG, was given by Vice Pres
Tom.
The balance was $xxxx.xx. Motion to accept was made by John N2LGS and
seconded
by Walter W2WIQ.
Health and Welfare. Jimmy N2LFI is home but is still having problems.
Correspondence: No correspondence
Technical report: Walter W2WIQ reported problems with the repeater in
Elizabeth which is still bad and needs work. The unit in Greenbrook is OK.
Old Business – The picnic flyer went out. John N2LGS mentioned assignments
with Al W2KOG handling the caterer, Dave W2OIL with condiments etc, and Bill
W2WK doing ice. John will be cooking burgers and hot dogs. .
New Business: Jeff N2VHV moved to give Walter $23.17 for needed items and
was seconded by Charlie N2LHD – passed.
Gen Discussion: Jeff N2VHV spoke about antenna matching and antenna tuners
for the benefit of our newer hams. We then mentioned Jessie’s daughter in-law
passing and Jeff N2VHV moved that the club donate $25.00 in her memory to a
charity to be specified by Jessie. This was seconded by Drew W2OU and was
passed..
The 50/50 of $16.00 was won by Tom W2BRD.
Motion to adjourn was made by Victor KC2NBC and seconded by Walter W2WIQ
The meeting was closed at 8:31
