[ETSList] Help me get W2AOF back on the air

I would like to get my father (W2AOF ex WB2YIT) back on the air for
Christmas. A drop in at HRO for a tuner and dipole on the way is
already in the plan, but I need to replace his Heathkit HW-32A (20m
only) with something that has 40 and 80 meters so we can chat on CW at
150 miles from each other.

I've been watching eBay and such for a good Kenwood rig like mine, but
since Christmas is coming they're all going pretty quick. I know there
will be a glut out there AFTER the holidays as everyone sells their now
"spare" rigs, but I'd really like to give him something to play with
when we go visit on the 27th.

If you have spare HF rig you've been meaning to liquidate, but just
haven't got around to it, and would like to help get a formerly active
ham back on CW, this is your chance.

My price range for Christmas is right around $300. I will come to your
QTH and pick up the rig between now and the 27th (on your schedule) and
pay you a reasonably negotiated amount in cash after a quick
air-worthyness or lightbulb test.

I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone can help.

Thanks, Merry Christmas and 73 de Rob KC2AEI
