[ETSList] ARRL Amateur Radio Restructuring Proposal.

FYI.  There's been a lot of discussion on the air and on the internet about
the ARRL Amateur Radio Restructuring Proposal.  To help folks think through
it and avoid gut reactions, the ARRL website now has added an FAQ page that
explains how each aspect of the Amateur Radio Restructuring Proposal was
arrived at.  You can see it at
http://www.remote.arrl.org/news/restructuring2/faq.html Also, don't forget
to look at the proposed "novice refarming" band plans that go along with the
changes in license classes and privileges.
Eventually we will all get our chance to offer our opinions when the FCC
issues it a number and ask for comments, but in the meantime it makes sense
to look at the overall aims and thought process behind the proposal before
venturing an opinion.
Please don't use these mailing lists for debate and comments, but I figured
it would be good for everyone to get the full background on it.
