I have an early Alpha 374A, Serial 7093, that I am cleaning up for a friend.
I have a new front panel, blower motor and screw kit on order and I am
replacing the TR relay with a pair of vacuum relays.
In looking at the resistor pack under the tube deck I find fifteen 470 ohm resistors
instead of the fifteen 220 ohm resistors indicated in the Low Drive Mod
instructions.
The terminal strip is wired per the mod instructions on the Alpha website -
terminals 1 and 2 jumpered - shield to 1 - center conductor to 4. This is the
first time the tube deck has been removed so it's the way it came from Alpha.
Should I follow the instructions for the two tube amp (removing one bank and no other
changes) or just leave it as is?
Any comments appreciated.
thanks,
