Hi Bob,
As I understand it to be, that the 3CX800A7's from places like RF Parts
are not available. I spoke with someone there a month or so ago, and
they told me that they were out of them, and didn't expect any until
sometime early next year. The guy also said that he's heard that they
have stopped production of them.
I haven't seen the conversation kit you mentioned on the Alpha web site,
but here's a link to someone that does the conversion, but the customer
supplies the tubes. He's highly regarded as the reviews shows on
eHam.net. Also, I spoke to him a month or so ago about the conversion.
He knows the Alphas - bar none.
