[ETO_Alpha] ALpha 87A Fault Code

All,

I have an 87A...which has just begun giving a fault code 20...."filament current grater than 3.5 amp. Possible shorted filament"...

I can reset the code by going into standby...then back to opr...and it goes away...but it intermittently comes back....

The amp is putting out well over 1.5KW with minimal drive....

Any ideas?...would hate to buy a new tube...they are *expensive*!
