Hello Jim, Alan, etc.,
    I found I could use bottom half of 10 meters in my SX, and, with the
RFParts RFC3 choke (from Ameritron) I can use 12 meters as well.  Instead of
the 24-25 Mhz resonance, it has resonances at 12 Mhz (as advertized) and at
16 Mhz , not advertized, and works fine on all ham bands.
    I do find the tuning on 10 is limited to 28.5 +/-, with the vacuum
variable cranked all the way out.  The turns counter reads about 23.7 and
bottoms out at 99 fully meshed.
