[[ETO_Alpha] Alpha 99 Meter Accuracy?]

Barry,
Mine seems to track with my Autek WM-1 pretty well, but I've not put m=
y
Bird in line yet to confirm (last time I checked the Autek it was very cl=
ose
to the Bird). Unfortunately, I only have a 1 KW slug. =

On a related note, after looking everywhere for a good, digital active=

SWR/power meter with a bargraph display and finding none*, I wrote a prod=
uct
suggestion to Alpha to repackage their meter from the Alpha 99 with a 200=
W and
a 20W scale. =

*Note: By "good" I mean usable for those of us with tuners who need to=
 tune
for lowest SWR in a hurry - decoding computed SWR numbers is not the righ=
t
tool for that job. Rather, a bargraph type of display like the '99 has i=
s a
much better tool, but needs to have the low power scales for tuner tuning=
!
