Good Evening,

    The variety of scents in the forest is intoxicating.  There are so 
many flowers blooming the hummingbirds are infrequent visitors to the 
feeder.  Ferns are up to nine feet tall and unrolling.  The forest floor 
is hard to find.  The large number of birds contrasts with their small 
winter population.

    The sun has sunspots, but they are small.  One of them may send us 
an M class flare though it does not have long until it passes over the 
limb.  Last night I hiked to an opening in the forest where I saw the 
moon and Jupiter.  I did not find Venus until I moved around a tree 
blocking the view.  For the next two weeks they will get closer and 
closer.  On June 8th they will be at their closest.  It is too hazy for 
me to see Mercury.
