Good Evening,

    The week ended wet and cool.  It has been slowly raining since 
Wednesday.  Snow is in the forecast for tonight.  Flowering dogwood is 
in bloom as are the False Solomon's Seal.  The forest floor is almost 
gone.  Some of the ferns are over eight feet tall and partially 
unrolled.  There are many shades of green with a lot of fresh air.

    The sun looks almost bare with only a few stable sunspot 
groups.  Solar flux is still above 100.  We are inside a stream of solar 
wind so there is no lack of ions.  Hopefully, signals will be good and 
QSB low.  Test propagation with us tomorrow.

I have steered away from the siren call of recursive functions. I 
thought a bit and wrote a non-recursive octree insertion routine.  
Faster than the recursive version; few lines of code too.  The function 
has an elegance all its own; letting me allocate nearly all the memory 
in my computer for one extremely large tree.  Far larger than I would 
ever use, but an algorithm has got to know its limitations :)
