I have an even broader question, if I may:  When using the KX3 with a sound card or panadapter, is there any loss in performance over just the KX3 itself?  Please excuse my ignorance - I've been away from the hobby for over 40 years and just bought myself a used KX3.

The lp pan revommended e Mu 0204 is a very good external usb card. They
still show up used from time to time and even used they seem bullet proof.
