Good Evening,

    The week had snow, then lots of rain.  Today there is sun, so I took 
a hike along the southern edge of my property.   When I got close to the 
lowest point I heard, then saw, something I had not seen in many years.  
A stream.  The section south of mine got clear cut.  Before, there was a 
stream which persisted through the year.  After the forest was cleared 
the stream was intermittent and then gone.  Weeks of rain filled the new 
layer of fir needles.  It is being released over time.  There were a 
number of elk and deer trails, but there were many mountain beaver holes 
too.

    The sun has active sunspots again.  One of them has tossed a CME at 
us.  Currently we are exiting a stream of solar wind. Expect more of 
them.  The auroral oval is moderately bright, there will be noise.  QSB 
should be present at one level or another and of various types.  Makes 
life interesting.  With spring approaching, and mud receding, I have 
thoughts of antenna work. More radials on the 40 meter antenna sounds 
good.  Maybe a dedicated 40 meter dipole too.  I have plenty of wire and 
some unused runs of coax.  Now: time, energy, and motivation :)
