Good Evening,

    A mild week turned hot today.  My walk in the woods found many 
spider webs.  Small spiders are parachuting from the tops of the trees 
and flying for miles.  A few days of this weather will dry out the 
forest quickly.  Luckily the hot spell will not last long.

    The sun remains active; another CME hit earlier today.  The solar 
flux index is lower than it was last week.  The auroral oval is less 
prominent too.  I spent 20 minutes being eaten by mosquitoes while 
soldering eight more radials onto my 1/4 wave vertical.  It was worth my 
time as a blood donor.  RBN gave me good signal reports from 
Saskatchewan to Utah to Arizona and California.  We'll test it again 
tomorrow during the forty meter net.
