Good Evening,

Two nights ago I was awakened by a Barred Owl in the tree outside my
window.  Then others called from nearby trees.  A true parliament of
owls kept me awake for half an hour with their hoots and mutterings.
Shrubs outside my windows are blooming, while their leaves turn a bit
yellow.  Last year a male Yellow Warbler was flitting around eating
insects on those shrubs.  This year I have seen only a female.  But I
don't know if it is a female Yellow Warbler or a female Wilson's
Warbler; they are similar. Their coloring, and their rapid reorientation
on the yellowing shrubs, makes identification difficult.

The sun has only a few sunspots on it.  Those are stable and quiet.  The
solar flux level is still over 100 so there will be hissing.  However,
QSB may be less strong.  That's either good or bad.  Often QSB lifts
signals above the noise long enough to identify the operator.  But if
the band is quiet weak signals are easier to copy.  Hopefully my signal
will reach past the Great Lakes on to the Atlantic Coast.

Please join us on (or near):

14050 kHz at 2200z Sunday (3 PM PDT Sunday)
7047 kHz at 0000z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday)

    73,
