[Elecraft] K1 repair/upgrade question

Charlie,

The headphone/ext speaker jack on the K1 has 5 (or 6) places to 
desolder, so it is easy if you have good desoldering tools, but 
difficult if you do not.

Do not consider drilling out the thru-plated holes as one customer of 
mine did - that was a long time ago, and I quit repairing radios.  
Drilling out the holes will ruin the K1 board.

Dave Van Wallaghen W8FGU currently does K1 repairs for Elecraft, send an 
email to support at elecraft.com and he should contact you.

Unless you have the kit for the 4 band board, adding additional bands is 
not possible because Elecraft no longer produces that kit.
