[Elecraft] KPOD pushbutton tones

I just received a new to me KPOD and have it working with my K3S.  In reading the instructions, they imply that when macros are run with the f1-f8 buttons or the vfo rocker switch is moved, I should hear a confirmation tone.  Is this correct?  I hear tones when the buttons on the front panel of the K3S are pressed, but not any confirmation from the butttons on the KPOD (even though all KPOD functions are working).  Is it normal to have no tones from the KPOD button activation?
