Good Evening,

   Some of the leaves are turning color; that may be due to the smoke 
flowing down the Columbia River.  A few hummingbirds returned, they had 
taken a two week break.  The warblers are fewer because the flowers 
which were attracting the bugs they were eating have mostly faded.  A 
few hours of rain has cleared the air.

   The sun has a number of large sunspot groups.  One of them tossed a 
CME at us, arriving sometime tomorrow.  It may be a grazing event but 
enough to induce density waves in the ionosphere.  More QSB may boost 
your signal above the noise one moment and bury it the next.  Timing is 
everything.
