[Elecraft] K3 vfo knob allen wrench size

My K3 just got back from the mothership and I cannot get the light,
original VFO knob back off of the shaft.  The 2 that I have in my K3 parts
bin seem to both not fit the set screw in the original knob that I put back
on to ship it to them.  The screw seems to be stripped out and the tiny
little allen wrench that came in the kit just turns without moving the
screw.  The Heavy knob has a set screw that fits the slightly larger wrench
that came with it. The only thing I can think of to do is to get a reverse
twist drill bit of the appropriate size and try to get it out that way.
Any other suggestions?
