[Elecraft] K3S RIT Woes

The RIT function on my K3S is getting flakey (RIT offset doesn't 
reliably change when turning the front-panel knob). The RIT can still be 
commanded reliably via the serial interface using the up/down arrow keys 
and N1MM. From what I have read, this is probably a bad optical encoder. 
Is there a replacement part available? Is there any serial number 
dependence as to which encoder is needed (my K3S is an upgraded K3)?
