Good Evening,

When Roy, K6XK, sent his weather report I was reminded of the
drought which fed the Peshtigo Fire.  That made me remember the Chicago
Fire.  So I checked: there were a number of great fires during late
September to early October 1871.

Propagation on twenty meters was good.  Moderate QSB - S3 to S8 for
instance.  Some noise.  Forty meters had good signals with a little less
QSB.  There were a few storms, but they were distant.  I avoided
contesting for both nets.  Clear frequencies nearby were easy to find.
