Page 20 of the K3S rev A1 manual discusses the use of the FSK Input pin on the ACC connector for this use. You will want to read more in the manual to learn how to configure the K3 to use the FSK In signal.
There is more info on page 33 of that manual. Note that the info here should be the same for the K3 with the latest firmware installed.

I know of a few others who have successfully used the HAL DXP38 with their K3/K3S. You shouldn’t have too much trouble getting it connected. Then you get to learn how to use it and determine if a software decoder is better than a hardware one. But that is another discussion…
