I think the issue with TMP connectors is not so much corrosion, because
the connectors are silver, corroding silver ("black") is conductive
anyway and no corrosion is formed at places where the metals connect.

But, the lack of a locking mechanism is probably a much bigger issue.
Connectors not "fully in" may work themselves loose.

I would have considered SMB connectors that do have a positive locking
behavior, but do note that these connectors come with cost.

A local vivid homebrewer uses SMA inside his HF-bands homebrew radio,
even at the 100W power level (I was surprised to learn but SMA is OK for
this).

Elecraft has used UMC connectors on the KX3 (2m / 4m transverter module)
but while UMC connectors do have a locking mechanism, they have a very
limited number of disconnect / connect cycles and I think TMP is the
better choice for the K3.

As IMHO the issue is mechanical rather than corrosion, like others on
the list, I would keep liquids out of the connector equation and just
make sure all TMP connectors are fully inserted before replacing the lid
on the radio.
