And, of course, STUDY that manual, concentrating on the logic of how 
controls and buttons work, how the menus work. Elecraft has developed a 
very nice user interface that's very efficient when you're operating, 
but it's DIFFERENT from the JA radios, so you need to understand their 
control logic.

In general, we need to go to Elecraft menus when we're setting up the 
rig for our stuff, our station, and the way we want to use it. Once 
we've done that, it's rare to need the menus.

And look through the pages long table of all the settings, NOT to 
memorize them, but to know that they're there if you need them.
