Dave,
If your window line uses solid conductors (a lot of them do), you may
have a broken connection on one side or both near or at the potted
center insulator. I suspect that is what has happened with my ZS6BKW,
which tends to show SWR jumps when it is windy outside. My suspicion is
that one side of the window line has broken, and the wind causes the
joint to make/break, resulting in SWR jumps.
So far, I've not been able to confirm this, as the pulley at the top of
my telescoping mast is jammed, and I'll have to take the whole mess down
to inspect it.
