The question is not “how hard is it”, but “will the bump in sales pay for it”. Along with “is it as important as getting all the features in the K4”. I’d guess the answers are “maybe” and “no” (or “would need a contractor”).
Gordon Bell (DEC) introduced the idea of the “mid-life kicker” in the PDP-11 series. CESSB would be something similar.
