[Elecraft] KX2 heatsinks for CW-only ops?

Hi Larry,
My understanding from the KX3 is:
1. It should be able to handle CW duty cycle under typical circumstances
without overheating.
2. If it does overheat, it is capable of self-preservation (foldback).
3. Additional heatsinking is necessary only to avoid foldback while
operating digital modes like FT8 that transmit at 100% duty cycle for 30
seconds straight.
4. All that said, if you don't mind the weight and size penalty, I'd get
one of them anyway, just for future flexibility.
If anyone knows about the KX2 in particular, please chime in!
73,
Julie
