Contact Dave Van Wallaghen from Elecraft - dave at elecraft.com. He does all the K2 repairs, and many other things at Elecraft. But he does sell a kit that you can add to the K2 that will let you do FT8.  It is the fully kitted version of the latest design by Don Wilhelm, W3FPR<http://www.w3fpr.com/> and Tom Hammond, N0SS (SK)<http://www.mmccs.com/mmarc/n0ss/>. It is a fixed Audio Output board for digital.  Check it out.

I am. It works fine. I’ve done PSK31 and Winlink using VARA HF. I just let the rig warm up a bit.

I’m just trying to solve the plugging and unplugging constantly switching between digital and SSB modes.

I ordered a headphone splitter cable for the external speaker connection: one feed to the soundcard and the other to a little external MFJ speaker.

The mic connection on the front has me puzzled as to what to do.

Any ideas?
