[Elecraft] K2 digital mode questions

Thanks to those who’ve helped me so far with cabling to connect to a Timewave Navigator to my K2. As I’m planning my setup, since there is no buffered line level audio in or out, I’ll be using the external speaker output and mic input on the rig. To monitor received audio, I assume I can split the speaker audio to the Navigator and an external speaker. For the mic audio - so I can leave a mic connected and not switch between a hand mic and the Navigator at the mic jack on the radio, how are others handling this?
