[Elecraft] P3 Connectios

Hi guys,
wanted to ask if there is a way to connect a P3 together with my contest program (DXlog) at thye same time/port.I use a Y cable to connect the P3 and computer with the same K3 RS232 DB9 connector, but when this is done, the P3 Panadapter goes crazy so I have to disconecct it. So, is there any other way to have both connections active and running.?
