Good Evening,

? ?Both bands had a variety of QSB.? I rarely heard a flutter. It
varied from slow to moderate speeds, not enough to chop up characters.?
Then, on 40 meters, the band was changing by the minute.? On 20 meters
those farther away had slower QSB, while those closer had a faster
variety.? On 40 meters this was reversed.? According to my limited poll
winter is upon us.? It is the shortest day of the year; only six months
until the next solstice.

(Entries with (c/o) indicate a 'one and done' station that checked out
during the 1st round. (n/h) failed to respond during initial (was only
checked into Netlogger) or subsequent rounds. (p) indicates a portable
station. (m) indicates a mobile station.)

We had a total of 14 check ins this week (including the NCS). Thanks to
all the stations that helped with relays, and a big thanks to Peter,
K1AV who hosted my K4D to his K4D connection from Michigan to Rhode
Island while my 80M antenna is down for construction at my QTH. I hope
to see all of you again. The net concluded at 9:48 PM ET.

We have a really great group of folks checking in, and I encourage
everyone in the Midwest and adjoining areas to check in next week.

As a reminder, if you go to https://netlogger.org at the net starting
time and look for the 80M Elecraft SSB Net, you should see the frequency
we are using that evening, if we must QSY due to busy frequencies.

Also, check out https://hams.live to find out how to set up a multi-SDR
receiver on your PC, which greatly aids in hearing folks during poor
propagation or high noise levels.

73,

-- Dave, N8SBE

I inherited a nice low power K2 from a close friend, W5ZNN (SK) and the K2 filters are set up for cw operation, a mode he loved. On the other hand, SSB is majority of my ham fun.
I?m looking for someone that can use Spectogram to set up the filters to 2.4, 1.8, 500 & 150.
I?m in Lynchburg VA and W3FPR set up the filters for the K2-100 I built but I understand he?s retired, darn it! ?
Any suggestions?
73,
Cary
