Good Evening,

    It has been a hazy, smokey week.  The sun is an odd shade of orange 
which makes a green forest look gray.  It is very quiet too; usually 
squirrels and birds make a little noise, not this week.  Some rain is on 
the way.  Hopefully it will cross over the Cascades and douse a few 
fires in Central Oregon.

    Solar activity is going up.  High sunspot numbers with high solar 
flux.  We are currently between CMEs.  The next one is due by 
Wednesday.  Tomorrow there will be a steady hiss of ions with a few 
types of QSB.
