[Elecraft] K3 settings question

As I recall, Ten Tec was known for setting their AGC threshold quite low. The result was that owners always commented on how "quiet" their receivers were.
Turn off the AGC and then compare your volume settings.
 All a matter of taste.

It is interesting to see the AGC THR makes a noticeable difference, and I
will do the same as you suggested.

Another note is that the audio volume is much different between them. The
one with 09xx serial number is noticeably louder. When 09xx is set at the 9
o'clock position, 8xxx needs to be at 12 o'clock to have a comparable audio
volume. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
