Hi Bill,
I agree. After building the K2  (ordered it right there at Dayton- eye glazed over) I have now bought another and have the K4  and KPA1500. I love the way the K4 treats transverters- and best of all American designed and made.

Do like some of us, collect it anyway.   Keeps my K4D, KX2 , KX3  company.  I have also had K2 and KX1 (FT for both), K3, K3S, KPA1500, KXP100, etc.  Can't get enough Elecraft.

This is seriously cool.

But I must resist the temptation, as I already have a KX2, KX3 couple of
K3S, and an as-yet-unbuilt kx1 from back who knows when.
