[Elecraft] K2 VFO Friction

My K2 VFO knob spins a little more freely than I'd like. I took it off and looked at the felt and it appears pretty thin and worn.

I really thought about using the felt rings that you can get for 12 VDC battery terminals but wondered if anything’s on those rings (anti-corrosive) that would keep me from doing that. Otherwise, is there anything that anyone has found that works particularly well?
